Homestead Hospital is a 142-bed acute care hospital that opened in 2007 at the southern end of Miami-Dade County. Homestead Hospital provides its patients with the latest in technology and equipment. Natural light, soothing colors, plenty of open spaces and all private rooms help to create a warm and healing environment. The hospital contains medical-surgical units, an intensive care unit, surgical services, a pediatric unit, Physical Therapy Center, Sleep Diagnostic Center, as well as state-of-the-art outpatient diagnostic testing where studies such as coronary CTA, Breast MRIs and 3D Ultrasounds are performed.
The 24-hour Emergency Center has 44 private treatment rooms, including a trauma room and a Children's Emergency Room, and registered 75,000 visits this year. Our Birthing Suites welcome more than 1,200 babies a year. A Medical Arts Building is located inside the main hospital and houses physicians' offices.
