The goal of the Emergency Radiology section is to provide excellent efficient service, fast accurate readings, and have open communication with the referring Emergency Doctors, to provide the highest level of care possible to our patients. To do this we staff this division with highly trained radiologists who have multiple fields of expertise. We offer 24/7 stat reads to the 5 Baptist Hospitals and more than a dozen Baptist Urgent Care Centers. Our case load of over 350,000 exams is one of the busiest in the country. We sponsor an Annual International symposium on Emergency Imaging, where doctors from around the US and abroad learn the newest innovations and technological applications to provide better service to their patients.

Advanced imaging modalities that are offered 24/7 include MRA, MR Diffusion, CTA and CT Perfusion. We are a leader in cutting edge research and service in the field of emergency non invasive cardiac imaging. Our CT, MRI, US, and Nuclear departments provide the same quality service at 2 am as at 2pm. We provide exclusive service to Baptist Health of South Florida, so we can deliver the highest quality of care to our patients.

Many radiological groups allow third-party vendors to outsource their work after 5pm. We are proud to keep all of our work in-house. Members of RASF cover emergency and inpatient cases 24/7/365, with no fewer than 2 radiologists “on” at all times. This allows us to maintain a high level of quality, offer subspecialty reads, and keep an eye on quality control of both the imaging study itself as well as the final interpretation. You will get a high-quality interpretation from an RASF radiologist no matter when or where you have your study.
