Chief of Radiology, South Miami Hospital

Dr. Messinger is a partner with Radiology Associates of South Florida (RASF) and attending radiologist within the Baptist Health System of South Florida. Dr. Messinger serves as the Chief of Radiology at South Miami Hospital, as the Medical Director of Imaging Informatics for RASF and holds the same position within the Baptist Health System.

Dr. Messinger has an academic appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology in the Herbert Wertheim School of Medicine at Florida International University. Dr. Messinger has published a number of times on a wide variety of topics including temporal horn asymmetry associated with hippocampal sclerosis to hyperintense brain lesions on T1 weighted images in AIDS patients. He is also an active speaker with presentations at the Radiological Society of North America and the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine, while participating in a number of panels discussing the topics of Radiologist Workflow and the roll of AI and the Impact of Physician Stress and Burnout.

Dr. Messinger received an undergraduate degree from Amherst College and an M.D. from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he completed an internship in internal medicine as well. Dr. Messinger also completed a residency at Cornell University at the New York Hospital and a fellowship in Neuroradiology at Yale University at New Haven Hospital where he served in the role of Chief Fellow.
