Prior to joining Radiology Associates of South Florida as a diagnostic radiologist, Dr. Villalobos worked at Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables, and Mercy Hospital and the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, both in Miami.
Dr. Villalobos earned a fellowship in diagnostic neuroradiology at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He did diagnostic radiology and internal medicine residencies at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. While there, he earned the Nueroanatomy Annual Award from the radiology department. Dr. Villalobos trained in internal medicine, cardiology, and surgery at the William J. Harrington Training Program at the University of Miami. He also took a radiology pathology course at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, DC.
He has completed numerous research studies, including “Recurrent Brain Tumor vs. Radiation Necrosis Correlation by the Use of MR Imagine and Proton MR Spectroscopy” at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Villalobos attended Unversidad Del Zulia in Venezuela for his undergraduate and graduate degrees. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
