Since joining RASF in 1999, after completing his residency and fellowship at University of Miami and obtaining Board certifications in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Dr. Vuong has used his training and expertise to concentrate on molecular, oncologic, and cardiac imaging. He is currently the Medical Director of PET/CT for Baptist Health, one of the busiest PET/CT programs in the region. He is intimately involved in the cancer program at Baptist Health, with regular participation and leadership in multi-specialty cancer conferences such as Tumor Board, Breast Cancer Conference, and Head and Neck Cancer Conference. Dr. Vuong is also the radiology representative for the Baptist Health Cancer Committee.
Nationally, Dr. Vuong supports the advancement of molecular imaging with his involvement in national societies. He has served as the Program Director, Secretary, Treasurer, and is currently the President-elect of the Southeast Chapter of the Society of Nuclear Medicine. He has also lectured nationally and internationally about PET/CT and has moderated multiple scientific sessions for the RSNA. Locally, he works to help improve patient care by his involvement in the QA committees for Radiology and Internal Medicine at Baptist Hospital and with being the Co-Director of Radiology Grand Rounds.
