Dr. Howard E. Katzman is a vascular and general surgeon at Radiology Associates of South Florida. Before joining RASF, he continues to hold this similar position at the Surgical Group of Miami as of 1971 to today. He also founded and directs the Non-Invasive Vascular Diagnostic Laboratory at the University of Miami Hospital.
He focuses on open and endovascular repair procedures of the aorta and distal vessels and complex dialysis access reconstruction. He has led several investigations and participated in research efforts related to the development and use of vascular-graft materials in vascular surgery applications. He speaks internationally to vascular surgery programs.
Dr. Katzman did his undergraduate work at Washington & Jefferson College and earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1964. He interned at Jackson Memorial Hospital before completing his residency in vascular and general surgery at University of Miami School of Medicine/ Jackson Memorial Hospital. He also served in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1967.
