A partner with Radiology Associates of South Florida, Dr. Parrilla is an attending at Baptist Hospital of Miami, South Miami Hospital, Homestead Hospital, and the Baptist Outpatient Centers. He currently works as a diagnostic radiologist in the emergency radiology, body, and musculoskeletal division of Radiology Associates of South Florida. He has been an assistant professor of clinical radiology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Parrilla has written numerous articles and held scientific presentations covering topics such as in-line skating-related fractures and the effects of delayed bonding between mother and child as a result of admissions at the neonatal intensive care unit. He has been published publications such as Cauda Equina: A Surgical Rounds Anatomical Chart.
Dr. Parrilla received an undergraduate degree from Tulane University and an MD from the University of Puerto Rico’s School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine internship at Tulane University ‘s School of Medicine, before completing a one-year fellowship in internal medicine at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation. Dr. Parrilla then completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center prior to his fellowship in MRI from the same institution.
