Dr. Adam R. Geronemus is a partner and vascular and interventional radiologist at Radiology Associates of South Florida. He also holds this position at Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute and South Miami Heart Center. Additionally, he devotes time to his role as principle investigator for the Sonic I trial with the South Miami Heart Center and Omnisonics/OmniWave.

Bone-marrow transplants were a research focus for Dr. Geronemus in the ‘90s, first during the summers of 1992 through 1995 at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, and then as a fulltime research assistant at the center from 1995 through 1996. In 1992, he won the Howard Hughes Foundation’s Undergraduate Research Grant.

Dr. Geronemus has contributed multiple times to the American College of Radiology’s “Teaching Files Vascular and Interventional Radiology” CD-ROM and has served as adjuvant faculty for the world-renown International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy. He co-authored “The CT Reversed Halo Sign: A Nonspecific Finding on CT of the Thorax,” presented at the Radiological Society of North America’s annual meeting in 2004.

Dr. Geronemus earned a biology undergraduate degree at Indiana University in 1995 and a medical degree from University of South Florida College of Medicine in 2000. He completed a medicine/surgery/radiology internship and diagnostic radiology residency at the University of South Florida College of Medicine/Tampa General Hospital/H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center. He also did a vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at the Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute.
