Jonathan M. Fields, MD

A partner with Radiology Associates of South Florida, Dr. Fields also serves as the director of pediatric imaging for the group. Dr. Fields is an attending at Baptist Hospital of Miami, South Miami Hospital, Homestead Hospital, and the Baptist Outpatient Centers. He has worked as a senior registrar in diagnostic radiology at Withington Hospital in South Manchester and as a pediatric radiologist and interventional radiologist for Radiology Associates of Hollywood. He has been a lecturer in radiology at Manchester University, an instructor of diagnostic radiology at Yale Medical School, an attending pediatric radiologist and assistant professor at Children’s Hospital at Yale New Haven, and a diagnostic and pediatric radiologist and assistant professor of S.U.N.Y. for Crouse Radiology Associates.
Dr. Fields has won the Winifred Secretan Patch Prize in anatomy, Edith Patchey Prize in pharmacology, Gladys Sandes Prize in practical anatomy, the Mrs. G. M. Smith prize for overall achievement in preclinical studies, and a number of other distinctions. He received the Richardson Khulmann Prize and Medal (suma cum laude). Dr. Fields has published frequently in British Journal of Radiology, Clinical Radiology, and Pediatric Radiology on topics such as the use of the strecker stent for TIPS, pulmonary hemorrhage in children, and closing the ductus venous in premature infants. He also regularly presents on studies results, including the radiology of amyloidosis, adult cardiac radiology, and the role of thoracic CT.
Dr. Fields studied at John Lyon School, Harrow on the Hill, London, before receiving medical training at Royal Free Hospital Medical School, London University. He completed a rotating internship at Shaare Zedek Hospital.
